The German Museum of Books and Writing of the German National Library is dedicating an exhibition to the achievements of the publisher Anton Philipp Reclam (1807-1896), in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the launch of the first Reclam Universal-Bibliothek (RUB) issue. Starting from the "classic" year of 1867 the exhibition highlights selected exhibits.

Bildfabriken. Infografik 1920–1945. Fritz Kahn, Otto Neurath et al. // A temporary exhibition of the German Museum of Books and Writing of the German National Library in Leipzig // 8 September 2017 – 7 January 2018

The exhibition highlights the rediscovery and profiling of the picture as a source of information and communication in the early 20th century. The main focus has been placed on the two visual concepts of Halle-based physician Fritz Kahn and Viennese science theorist Otto Neurath.

Designed as a "world of experience", the "Signs - Books - Networks: From Cuneiform to Binary Code" exhibition offers an insight into 5,000 years of media history. From the invention of writing to the digital age – there is so much to explore in the permanent exhibition.

Historical reproduction equipment and sound recordings // Permanent exhibition at the German Music Archive // German National Library in Leipzig

From the hot air gramophone and shellac records through to digital storage media: the "Historische Abspielgeräte und Tonträger" exhibition spans the period from the beginning of music recording to the present day, providing a fascinating insight into music history.
