Guided tours in Leipzig

Group tours // German National Library in Leipzig // Bookable dates

The German National Library collects, catalogues, indexes, archives and makes publicly available all written, graphic and sound recording media works issued in Germany, or in German. 7,000 new media units are added every day: books, brochures, journals, maps, sheet music, sound recordings, standards and online publications.

Gain a clearer insight into the memory of the nation and its tasks by visiting us in Leipzig on a group tour. The tour of the library – including the reading rooms, the listed library building (the original structure of which was opened in 1916) and the innovative annex building opened in 2011 – will give you an insight into the history and tasks of the German National Library.
