Dialogue on licensing information
Dialogue on licensing information and the documentation of rights
The German National Library issued an invitation to an informative event on licensing and rights statements for digital objects with the motto “A dialogue on licensing information and the documentation of rights – establishing sustainable data flows”.
The aim was to provide comprehensive support for the provision of licensing information and rights statements for the re-use of digital content. Legally watertight, transparent, standardised, machine-readable information in the bibliographic metadata is essential for the production, distribution and exchange of open, freely accessibly digital data and works in the fields of culture, science and education.
The event focused on progress reports and the exchange of ideas with information providers from publishing companies, libraries, repositories, museums and archives, among others.
