During the winter break the German Museum of Books and Writing of the German National Library is inviting pupils to take part in various creative activities in the museum gallery.

Step-by-step guide to bookbinding

Tuesday, 13 February, 10:00–11:30
Create your own fanfolds using a pencil and ruler by folding the block of paper, gluing and cutting. Make a book yourself using paper, needle and thread.

Screen printing

Thursday, 15 February, 10:00–11:30
Print motifs on jute bags using a prefabricated screen, ink and a squeegee.

DIY decorated paper

Tuesday, 20 February, 10:00–11:30
Create your own decorated paper from paper, paste and oil paints.

Tangrami made easy – Paper folding and tucking

Thursday, 22 February, 10:00–11:30
Fold and tuck paper squares to create a wide range of motifs – including flowers and animals.

The event is aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 11. No advance booking is required.
