Navigation and service

Presentations given at the 5th Leipzig Congress for Information and Libraries on 13 March 2013

Founded in 1983 the Consortium of Library Networks has operated as a service provider to its affliated libraries and institutions for more than 30 years now. In the face of the international exchangeability and re-use of data together with the concomitant change in end users' research behaviour, the library networks have come to represent a lasting and dependable anchor in the international data network.

Organised by the Consortium of Library Networks, the event offered an overview of the collaboration between the library networks on the generation and storage of data. Current projects and partnerships were presented, as were prospects for the further development of the body within the federal infrastructure for information services in the German-speaking countries.
