Navigation and service

The exile collections of the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek collect the printed and non-printed testimonials of German-speakers who emigrated or went into exile between 1933 and 1945.
The printed works, written or published abroad, and the emigrant-penned pamphlets are collected at both sites; archival papers (files, full and partial literary estates, collections, bundles of letters, individual letters, manuscripts etc.) are held exclusively at the German Excile Archive 1933-1945 (Deutsches Exilarchiv) in Frankfurt am Main.
