Catalogue of the exile publications

The catalogue covers the exile publications and archival papers of the German Exile Archive 1933-1945 (Deutsches Exilarchiv) in Frankfurt am Main and the holdings of the Sammlung Exil-Literatur 1933-1945 in Leipzig.
It includes:

Exile publications from 1933 to 1950:
These include first editions, reissues and translations of works written by German-speaking emigrants from 1933 to 1950 and anthologies featuring contributions by emigrants; books published, translated, illustrated or designed by emigrants; works released by exile publishers and publications of Jewish publishing houses and organisations in Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia after 1933; disguised publications and pamphlets.

Unprinted documents on German-speaking emigration 1933-1945:
Archival papers (files, full and partial literary estates, collections, bundles of letters, individual letters, manuscripts etc.) acquired after 2005. Earlier classification information can be obtained directly from the German Exile Archive 1933-1945 in Frankfurt am Main, e.g. via the card index catalogues. The online catalogue also contains brief descriptions of all holdings in the German Exile Archive 1933-1945. The overview of all bequests contained in the catalogue can be found under Stocks. The archival paper catalogue can also be used.

Stocks of the reference libraries for exile and emigration:
Reference books and descriptions of life as a German-speaking exile, autobiographies and letters by individual emigrants, secondary literature on emigrants, and reprints of exile journals.
